During the webinar of June 22, 2021 organized by the Chamber of Agriculture with the support of AREFLH, Erisalda CANAJ and Jean-Philippe BERNARD presented the contributions of the NUTRIMAN project within the framework of the application of the last European regulation concerning fertilizers. Starting from the current situation in France and in Europe, they presented in detail the information and knowledge offered by the platform, illustrating it by the presentation of a case of treatment technology and by a case of product obtained from, using the elements proposed in the information sheets and training materials (ID 209 and ID 210). The results obtained by experiments or demonstration operations carried out in 2019 and 2020 for three cases of French products were also presented: wood ashes (ID 321), compost of manure and algae (ID 540) and dehydrated poultry droppings (ID 370). This last intervention has focused on the important needs in France of increasing knowledge about use of organic fertilisation and to develop agronomic references in the use of bio-based fertilizers, in particular organic.

Given the growing accountability for farmers in the explaination of inputs used on crops, the participants were interested in the increasing level of proccessing the effluents to reach the status of fertiliser. They worried about the costs increase to reach the status of authorized fertiliser from the raw effluents., given that the current question in France is the transition from the waste status to the product status for a potential bio-based material.
