The first ESNI2020 session took place on October 27th providing space for EU projects to bring examples from their own projects on the practical implementation of biobased fertilizers in Europe. The online conference provided a comprehensive overview on the opportunities and benefits of nutrient recycling to boost research, agriculture and sustainable development. Policy-makers, researchers, industry representatives and many other stakeholders discussed how to raise awareness on the benefits of nutrient recycling and reuse (NRR).
Prof Massimo Pugliese (UNITO) made a presention on the Nutriman project and presented the following product and technology:
- ID192 product: High nutrient dense Bio-Phosphate products recovered from food grade animal bone grist with over 30% P2O5 content by "3R zero emission pyrolysis" process
- ID193 technology: 3R Recycle-Reuse-Reduce zero emission pyrolysis technology for phosphorus recovery from food grade animal bone
