FERTILIZERS: SOMETHING NEW IN FRANCE AND IN EUROPE.

Things are happening right now in the small world of fertilizers!

In Europe, a new “Fertilizing materials” regulation released in June 2019 should apply in July 2022. Several European “Research and development” programs, including the NUTRIMAN project, are working to prepare for its installation, in particular with the use of fertilizers from by-products or residues. In France, the State plans to intensify the agronomic recycling of organic matter as part of its "circular economy" roadmap, and national regulatory changes are planned to make this policy of returning to the ground a reality. To discover the links between circular economy and fertilizing materials and to better understand the world of "bio-sourced" fertilizers with the NUTRIMAN project, CEMES-CESAM, a farmers organisation with 300 members on the both departments of Charente and Charente-Maritime, and the Chamber of Agriculture of Charente-Maritime led the webinar "Fertilizing materials: something new in France and in Europe" on Friday 27/11/2020. The purpose of this event was to present farmers the work made in the NUTRIMAN project in the framework of the new EU regulation and the current national situation. The NUTRIMAN project has been introduced as a R&D project to set up a web platform presenting numerous informations about bio-based fertilisers. The results of field demonstrations with local bio-based products and informations about some examples of other european products (ID192, ID264, ID274, ID401, ID321, ID370, ID540) has been shown.
